Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian[/caption]TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is a main part of solution to Syrian crisis.
The role of Bashar al-Assad in keeping national unity of Syria and fighting terrorism is undeniable, he said.
The Iranian diplomat noted that terrorism in Syria has been defeated and is nearing its definite end, adding that Iran attaches great importance to Syrian resistance, leadership and demands of independent national opposition which abides by political solution.
He said the Islamic Republic of Iran stood by Syria and did not allow the country be turned to Libya and Somalia, adding security of regional countries, especially Syrian security is important for the entire region.
