Tehran, Feb 17, IRNA – Advisor to the Supreme Leader Major-General Yahya Rahim Safavi said on Tuesday that the world regards the Islamic Republic of Iran on the vanguard of campaign terrorists and Iraq is a good example for the Iranian character.

He made the remarks in his speech to the staff of Ministry of Defense and Logistics of the Armed Forces.

He said that the power of Iran has gone beyond the geographical borders and changed the regional and international equations.

The Islamic Revolution does not belong to any specific group and that the people from all walks of life played significant role in victory of the Revolution, he said.

He said that some 193 independent countries are members of the United Nations but there is no pious, powerful, politician and familiar to military affairs among them to be comparable to the Supreme Leader and commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces.

Referring to the three big wars took place around Iran in the past decade, he said the wise Iranian leader did not let any harm be inflicted on Iran.

The winner of US in Iraq and Afghanistan was Iran as the country’s major enemies such as Taliban and Saddam were annihilated, he said.

The US and its allies tried to topple President Basher al-Assad but Iran and Russia formed a coalition to disappoint US, Europe and some Arab ill-wishers.

The anti-Daesh coalition is of no use and that it was the Iranian military advice to the Iraqi government to mobilize the young population of Iraq to fight Daesh terrorists, Safavi said.
