Iran holds international sculpture symposium

sculpture symposium in KishTEHRAN (ISNA)- Iran inaugurated an international sculpture symposium to be attended by over 35 Iranian and foreign artists in Kish Island, southern Iran.
12 Foreign artists are joining the event underway in Kish Island for the first time.

The event aims to use fine works to beautify urban environment.

The artists were selected out of 32 foreign and 77 Iranian participants and would create works of arts on travertine by the end of symposium, March 1.

The event would grant three $7000, $5000 and $3000 awards in cash and honorary degree to the winners.

The foreign artists are from the US, Germany, Hungary, Serbia, Belarus, Georgia and Bulgaria who are competing for twenty days.
