Tehran, Jan 29, IRNA Political analyst and former spokesman for Iran's nuclear negotiatings team Hossein Mousavian said on late Wednesday that Americans and Iranians both, since 1979, have used all their capacity to confront each other, no doubt about it.
Mousavian made the remarks in a live debate in the US TV channel PBS attended by Anchor Judy Woodruff, Zionist regime Ambassador to Washington Ron Dermer, President of the US Council on Foreign Relations Richard N. Haass and the well-known American Author Robert Kaplan.
'From the Iranian point of view, the reason they really cannot trust the US is when the US backed dictators in Iran, second, when the US supported the former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein invasion of Iran, a war which aimed at dismantling Iran,' Mousavian added.

'We have a history of mistrust, misunderstanding, miscalculations. There is a more important fact. The common interests between Iran and the US is huge,' he added.

He also underscored that the Iranians and Americans are the leading regional international force fighting the terrorist group of Daesh (ISIS).

'Americans are leading the airstrike, and Iranians are leading the ground strike,' he added.

'You can see the same history during war on terror, 2001 in Afghanistan. Iranian army security establishments, they were cooperating shoulder by shoulder with the Americans to fight Al-Qaida and Taliban,' the Iranian political analyst added.

Woodruff noted that Mousavian as the former spokesperson for Irans nuclear negotiation team, is known for representing Iran in the West.

Dermer, for his part, said Iran controls four Arab capitals, claiming that Iran is responsible for the murder of hundreds of American soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan.

'Look at the differences the United States and Iran have in virtually every other aspect in the Middle East, about Israel, the Palestinians, Syria and Iraq,' Haass said in the debate.
