FM off to Davos, Switzerland

Tehran, Jan 22, IRNA Foreign Minister Mohmmad Javad Zarif left here for Davos, Switzerland, on Thursday to attend the 45th annual meeting of the World Economic Forum.
Zarif is to continue nuclear talks with the US Secretary of State John Kerry on the sidelines of the major economic event.
The two foreign ministers had three rounds of intense discussions in Geneva last Wednesday (January 14) which was followed by another meeting in Paris two days later.

Zarif-Kerry talks are aimed at speeding up the ongoing negotiations between Iran and P5+1 - Russia, China, France, Britain, the US and Germany - over Tehrans peaceful nuclear work.

The main remaining points of the nuclear talks are the number of centrifuges Iran can have and the paste of lifting sanctions.

The Davos economic event is participated by a large number of world leaders including Prime Minister of Turkey Ahmet Davuto?lu, French President Franois Hollande, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Italian Prime Minister atteo Renzi, President of the Swiss Confederation Simonetta Sommaruga, Presidents of South Africa Jacob Zuma and that of Tunisia Beji Caid Essebsi and Premier of the Peoples Republic of China Li Keqiang.

The World Economic Forum 2015 is being held in Davos from January 21-24 with the participation of 1,500 businessmen and 1,000 companies as well as international organizations and leading religious, cultural and academic figures.

Irans Head of Presidential Staff Mohammad Nahavandian is also attending the gathering.
