Jannati stresses training, use of new media technologies

Tehran, Jan 14, IRNA – Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Ali Jannati stressed the importance of the latest news and media technologies.
  In a meeting with the managing director of Lebanon’s State News Agency (NNA) Laure Sleiman , he said the Islamic Republic of Iran has always stood with the Lebanese nation to support its unity and territorial integrity.

He said Lebanon has a very special position in Iran’s foreign policy because of its heroic resistance against the Zionist regime in the past decades.

The minister said Lebanon should safeguard all its achievements which have led to the independence of the country.

He further highlighted friendly ties between the two countries regarding both regional and international issues which are based on mutual respect and cooperation.

On need for bilateral cooperation between the two news agencies, he voiced readiness to expand cultural and artistic relations.

He referred to the operations by some extremist groups as Daesh and condemned their savage and backward actions against defenseless people and innocent children.

The Lebanese official stressed the sensitivity of security news in his county and said he checked all such news items in person.

IRNA Managing Director Mohammad Khoddadi briefed the minister on the talks and agreements by the two news agencies.

He said the mass media in Iran and Lebanon offered a realistic picture of the conditions in each country.

He stressed the need for expert trainings between the news people in two countries.
