Ebtekar highlights government’s environmental concerns

Bushehr prov, Jan 13, IRNA – Head of the Department of Environment Masoumeh Ebtekar said Tuesday that the government attaches special significance to observing environmental standards in carrying out industrial projects, especially those in the field of oil and gas industries.
 Speaking during an air visit of the coastal areas and protected areas of Assalouyeh in southern province of Bushehr, Ebtekar said that proper measures have been taken to protect the environment of the province. However, she said that more actions are needed to be taken in this regard.

Ebtekar noted that protecting the environment is also of special significance from an economic and health standpoint and will benefit every individual of the Iranian community.

Ebtekar, a cabinet member of the government, is accompanying President Hassan Rouhani on his two-day visit to Bushehr province.
