Afghan president to visit Tehran

TEHRAN, Jan. 14 (MNA) Spokesman for Afghan President Ashraf Ghani announced that he will visit Tehran in near future.
Nazif Salarzi emphasized that the priority of Ghanis visit would be negotiations on the issue of peace and fighting terrorism and added that the articles of peace agreement that was offered by Iran during former President Hamid Karzai, will also be reviewed to be signed by Ashraf Ghani.


Extending economic and transit ties, fighting drug trafficking, and considering possible ways of establishing peace in Afghanistan are the most important issues to be discussed.


According to the official, the exact time of Ashraf Ghani's visit to Tehran is not fixed yet.
