Electricity exchange with neighbors reaches 147,6 megawatts

Tehran, Jan 9, IRNA Energy Ministry announced Iran's electricity exchange with neighboring countries reached 147,6 megawatts on January 8, 2015.
According to the Energy Ministry website, Iran's total electricity export until January 8 reached 1,175 megawatts.
Iran's electricity export on January 8, 2015 was to Afghanistan, Pakistan, Armenia and Turkey.

On the same day, Iran imported totally 301 megawatts electricity from Armenia and Turkmenistan.

Iran is exchanging electricity with Armenia, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan Republic, Iraq and Afghanistan.

Chairman of the Board of Directors in Electricity Syndicate Alireza Kolahi has already said that if the country's electricity industry is supported appropriately, it will be possible to export engineering and technical services worth around 15 billion dollars, annually.
