MP predicts power reshuffle in Saudi Arabia

Tehran, Jan 5, IRNA New power reshuffle in Saudi Arabia will take shape prior of King Abdullah's death, a member of Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission said Monday.
'King Abdullah's son has a strong position in the Saudi power pyramid; his father's health is seriously deteriorating; the new political structure that will most probably take shape before Abdullah's death will differ with the traditional power structure,' Abdollah Manosuri-Arani told IRNA.
Arani said that many people in Ale Saud claim to be the heirs to Abdullah's throne, including his sons, who are inclined to hardline religious groups.

He set example of Emir Salman, who is on maternal side related to Sudairi tribe, which makes the post-Abdullah period more complicated, because the current Saudi rulers' political personalities are not strong enough to let them lead the oil rich monarchy.

He said that in addition to Emir Salman, there are Bandar Bin Sultan, Kahalid Bin Sultan, Muhammad Bin Fahad, and Mutab Bin Abdullah, all claiming legitimacy to the Saudi throne.
