Tehran to host first International Brand Strategy Conference

Tehran, Dec. 29, IRNA – The first International Brand Strategy Conference will be held at Tehran Summit Convention Center on January 25-26 with an aim of elucidating the status of brand in economic development of the country and strengthening of national banding for a stronger presence in global markets.
  Importance of brand and branding strategies in sustainable development, status of national brands and branding in national development plans, attention to branding and its strategies in jihad management, status and role of Islamic and halal branding, elucidation of social branding strategies, social responsibilities of national brands and role of institutionalization in development of brands are among pivots of the conference.

Also, the role of governments in national brand strategies, role of the private sector and chambers of commerce in national brand, identity and loyalty strategies of brand, revival of brands strategies, brand architecture, assessment and evaluation of brand and public relations and advertisement in development of brand are among other axes of the first International Brand Strategy Conference.

Secretary of the conference, Mohammad Azadi said today more than any other time attention should be paid to scientific attitudes and methods in economic and social sectors, including brand.

Stressing that any promotional movement in the absence of scientific backing will not only damage the name of an organization or company but the economy and national brand, he said a company’s brand should take shape in the hearts of the consumers and its audience, adding that no organization will become a brand merely by claims.

He said paying attention to issues such as social responsibility and ethics of brand can make companies successful in this regard and a real brand is the result of satisfaction and loyalty to the brand.

He said the way to economic development rests in accountability of the companies in creating national brands exportable to all parts of the world and finally can be turned into international brands with Iranian orientation, adding that ‘resistance economy’ is in line with this issue.
