South Khorasan exports livestock to Oman
BIRJAND, Dec. 28 (MNA) The head of South Khorasan Veterinary Quarantine and Biosecurity Office has said the province has exported for the first time livestock to Oman.
Mehr News local correspondent quoted Said Qasemi as saying Tabas has exported 200 sheep and goats to Oman; the exported animals were transported to Oman via water borders in Sea of Oman after necessary legal and international procedures.

The Veterinary issued a permit requested by Omani envoy to transport 3,000 livestock, which will be exported via Khuzestan and Hormozgan borders, Qasemi added.200 livestock are on the quarantine and we predict that they would be transported to Oman by the end of the current week, he asserted.

On the Veterinaries health practices on livestock exports, Qasemi said that the stables used for keeping livestock were regularly disinfected and animals were examined and received traceable bar codes and were vaccinated against FMD.

Animals are kept at quarantine for 15 days, when they are disinfected against any animal parasites; we hope that effective veterinary controls would help rise in exports of the livestock in coming years, Qasemi noted.
