Japanese companies seeking investment in Iran infrastructure projects

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Japan is willing to make investment in Iranian infrastructure projects, including Isfahn-Tehran Express Train.
A Japanese economic delegation which has recently arrived in Iran visited many Iranian economic infrastructures, including Shahid Rajaei Port, Hormozgan Province, South of Iran, and discussed ways for the joint projects with officials of Iranian Ministry of Road and Urban Development.

During negotiations Iranian officials introduced major infrastructure projects. The positive view and will of the two sides suggest that Japan is highly likely to fund the projects.

Chinese companies visited Iran few months ago to implement a number of development projects including Tehran-Mashhad Express Train.

Following the implementation of Geneva nuclear accord struck by Iran and the Group 5+1 (the five permanent UN Security Council members plus Germany) in November 24, the ground has been paved for more participation of the European countries in the Iranian lucrative market.

Several European states have so far sent their trade delegations to Iran to study chances for widening trade ties and exchanges with Tehran, while more EU member states are preparing to send similar delegations to the Islamic Republic.

The largest of such delegations comprised of 141 French businessmen and traders who has already stayed in Tehran for several days.
