TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iran unveiled two main defense achievements on Tuesday in a ceremony attended by Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehghan.
The achievements include production of military prepreg and an outdoor site measuring radar cross section.

"Building prepregs required in aerospace industry such as missile body and propeller helicopter has materialized important goals in air defense, and is a giant step in providing the required infrastructures in aerospace and air defense," Dehghan said.

He also said prepregs include uni-directional, bi-directional and tri-directional textile as well as textile made with glass, carbon and collar fibers which have been impregnated in resin and can be used in aerospace industries, wind turbines and pressure vessels.

He noted the product is clean, easy to use, makes less waste, has high speed and appropriate mechanical, physical and dynamic properties and costs low.

He also said the outdoor site measuring radar cross section facilitates design of advanced radar evasive systems, extracting radar images of the targets and measure effects of environment such as wind, rain, fog and sea waves of radar cross section.
