EC secretary acknowledges progress in nuclear talks

Tehran, Nov 29, IRNA - Nuclear talks enhanced Iran's position in the international scene, Secretary of the Expediency Council Mohsen Rezaei said on Saturday.
Speaking in a press conference, he said that the nuclear negotiating team had a logical approach in defense of the nation's rights.
All people, Majlis (parliament) and the Leader support the negotiating team and have solidarity with them in support of nuclear program, Rezaei added.

He noted that presence of all world powers' high ranking officials in the negotiating table showed Iran's political weight in the world.

His remarks came days after Iran and the six world powers ended six days of negotiations and decided to meet again in the next 7 months after the November 24 deadline to clinch a final deal to resolve their 12-year nuclear standoff.

The talks had been extended until July 1, and the world powers undertook to release $700 million of Iran's frozen assets every month until a Comprehensive Agreement to be signed.

The 10th and last round of foreign ministers negotiations of Iran and the six governments was held in Vienna from November 18 to 24.
