Velayati rejects presence in Muscat nuclear talks

Tehran, Nov 9, IRNA – Head of the Strategic Research Center of the Expediency Council Ali-Akbar Velayati on Sunday dismissed western media reports that he would attend Muscat nuclear talks.
“The report is not true and I’m not on a visit to Oman; neither will I do,” Velayati told reporters after a meeting with Kuwaiti delegation, comprising Kuwaiti political and cultural elite.

“I have no plan to visit Oman to attend the nuclear talks. What published in certain section of the US and western media is baseless,” Velayati said.

He said he was unaware of a letter to the Supreme Leader by the US President Barak Obama when he was asked about.
