Iran speaker: Big powers behind Middle East conflicts

Iran speaker: Big powers behind Middle East conflicts
TEHRAN (Tasnim) Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani blamed the bloody crises in the Middle East region on the worlds big powers and certain regional ones, which he said are after satisfying their desires alone.
Speaking in a cultural ceremony in Irans central city of Isfahan on Saturday evening, Larijani referred to the Middle East region as one of the worlds hot spots that has undergone a host of wars and conflicts over the past decade.

He then accused the big powers and certain regional states of having a hand in the unrests and of shedding the blood of people in the Middle East as a means to satisfy their desires.

Larijani also condemned what he called the most savage moves by the terrorists across the region, stressing that the very same big powers sponsor and arm the militants to achieve their own interests.

His comments came while the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) terrorist group has captured areas in Iraq and Syria, committing heinous crimes wherever it enters.

In Iraq, the crisis has deteriorated since June, when the ISIL declared a so-called caliphate in the territories they have seized.

The ISIL terrorists have also threatened other communities, including Shiites, Sunnis, Kurds, Christians, and others, in Iraq.
