TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran and Kyrgyzstan plan to establish a direct flight in the near future between the holy city of Mashhad, northeastern Iran, and Bishkek, the capital of the Central Asian state.
The envoy also expressed the hope that the Mashhad-Bishkek flight will help promote the two countries’ relations and facilitate visits by the Iranian and Kyrgyz nationals.
The envoy was also quoted by IRNA as saying that an exhibition is due to be held in Kyrgyzstan on October 22-26 to display Iranian products.
Late in August, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in a message to Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev pointed to the good record of bilateral relations between Tehran and Bishkek, expressing the hope that the two countries’ cooperation in all spheres would strengthen more than ever.
The Republic of Kyrgyzstan, is a landlocked country in the Central Asia, bordering Kazakhstan, China, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. It obtained independence from the Soviet Union on August 31, 1991.
