Damascus, Sept 30, IRNA - Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Shamkhani arrived in Syrian capital, Damascus, on Tuesday.
Upon arrival, Shamkhani was warmly welcomed by Iranian Ambassador to Damascus Mohammad-Reza Sheilbani and several Iranian officials.
Shamkhani heading a political and security delegation arrived in Beirut late Monday.

While in Beirut, he held talks with several senior Lebanese officials including Prime Minister Tammam Salam, Hizbullah Leader Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah and Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri.

Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian is accompanying Shamkhani in his visit.
