Iranian stage directors to present workshops in Estonia

Five Iranian stage directors are planning to present a series of workshops at one of the main civil associations, NGO Mondo, in the Estonias capital city of Tallinn.
, Mahin Sadri, Hamid Pourazari, Reza Gouran and Homayoun Ghanizadeh are the directors who will represent Irans theater through holding workshops in Estonia.

Anumber of Iranian thespians such as Vishka Asayesh and Mohsen Abolhassani will also accompany the group.

Several troupes will stage their performance at the workshops that will be judged by a jury panel. The selected play will go on stage at the NGO Mondo on the last day.

Estonian and Iranian staging differs in a number of ways, Irans stage director Homayoun Ghanizadeh had earlier stated.

Estonias theaters are allowed for their cast members to participate in developing of ideas for the performance while Iranian theater allocates a greater leading role for its director who is supposed to produce ideas during rehearsals while consulting the staff, he also explained.

Founded in 2007, NGO Mondo as a non-profit organization is the coordinator of the UNESCO Associated Schools Project Network in Estonia.

The objectives of its activities are managing and intermediating development cooperation and global education projects, educating general public on the issues of humanitarian aid and development cooperation.
