Renowned Irans music ensembles go on stage at music festival

Several renowned Iranian music ensembles have staged their programs during Tehran Music Festival arranged on the sidelines of Irans House of Music Celebration.
The ceremony opened by the performance of Hamavayan ensemble conducted by the eminent Iranian tar virtuoso Hossein Alizadeh.

Accompanied by the award-winning vocalist Mohammad Motamedi, the ensemble performed its concert in two sections; the first was dedicated to poems from classical Persian literature and the second one included songs by contemporary Iranian poets.

The audience also enjoyed another Iranian music band known as Pallett which presented songs from its debut album released in 2012.

The family music group Kamkars also presented several music programs in Kurdish at the event.

The festival will be continued until September 8 with several other programs including the concerts of Shams Ensemble led by Keykhosro Pournazeri and the vocalists Homayoun Shajarian as well as Ali Reza Qorbani accompanied by Eshtiaq ensemble.
