Tehran, Aug 25, IRNA � An earthquake measuring 4.8 degrees on the Richter scale jolted Mourmouri town in western Ilam province on Monday morning.
According to a report by the Seismography Center of Tehran University?s Geophysics Institute, the tremor occurred at 10:31 hours local time (0601 GMT).
The quake?s epicenter was at 32.69 degrees latitude and 47.74 degrees longitude.

There has been no report on possible casualties or damage caused by the quake.

An earthquake, measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale, hit Ilam province on August 18.

The earthquake damaged roads and water, electricity and telecommunication facilities.

Since then, Iran?s western provinces of Kermanshah and Ilam have witnessed hundreds of quakes.
