Baghdad, Aug 24, IRNA � Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif said on Sunday that the current situation in Iraq and Syria needs strong national and regional response.
Zarif said in a joint press conference with his Iraqi counterpart that the terror movement we are witnessing today in Iraq and Syria is not only against an ethnic group, a religion or even a country but it targeted the entire region and its peace and security requiring strong national and regional response.
He said, ?We honorably consider resistance of Iraqi people led by the Supreme Jurisprudent against the anti-Islamic terror movement and have stood by the Shia and Sunni Muslims, Turkmens, Kurds, Muslims and non-Muslims in Iraq and will continue with supporting them.?
