Iran's Foreign Ministry spokeswoman has expressed optimism about the achievement of a final nuclear deal should the Sextet of world powers show goodwill.
I believe that if the P5+1 group (permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany) shows goodwill, the talks can reach a result. Achievement of an agreement within the envisaged timeframe is possible despite the existing problems, Marzieh Afkham told in her weekly press conference in Tehran on Wednesday.

She referred to the partial removal of sanctions against Iran under Tehrans interim nuclear deal signed in November 2013, saying Iran's negotiating team is seeking a "complete lifting of sanctions" within the framework of a final deal.

In July, Iran and the Sextet - the United States, France, Britain, Russia, China and Germany - agreed to extend their discussions until November 24 in an effort to achieve a permanent nuclear deal.

The two sides are expected to discuss ways of reaching a final agreement over Tehrans nuclear energy program. Iran's right to enrich uranium is among the bones of contention between the two sides.

Afkham also touched on the recent visit to Tehran by Director General of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Yukiya Amano, saying, Cooperation between Iran and the IAEA is moving forward and making progress.

Amanos Sunday visit to Tehran will come ahead of the IAEAs August 25 deadline for Iran to provide the agency with a new set of information on its nuclear energy program.

Meanwhile, we hope that these negotiations...would go ahead in a totally technical and legal atmosphere and that the agency would prevent the influence of political affairs on this process, Afkham added.

She said the Islamic Republic continues to monitor the US officials' remarks about Iran's nuclear issue.
