Iranian children win in Belarus painting competition
A number of Iranian children have garnered awards at the 9th edition of Homeland International Painting Contest in Belarus.
Iranian winners took one Plaque of Honor and 12 Honorable Mentions at this years competition which covered topics such as folklore stories, sceneries, old houses and gardens.

Fatemeh Sadri, Fereshteh Rashidi, Sina Mashhadi, Donya Marandi, Havjin Sheykheh and Hannaneh Sabour are among the winners.
The winners are members of Irans Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCYA).

Children from 31 countries took part in the competition. IIDCYA participated in the contest with 682 entries created by its members at different ages.

IIDCYA covers a wide range of cultural and artistic activities in the country such as releasing books, audio tapes, films and toys for Iranian kids.

Founded in 1961, the institute has branches all across the country and is known as the best source of cultural and instructional products by educational centers and families.

The IIDCYA also organizes festivals, discussion panels, competitions and various conferences addressing children, and adults who want to improve their understanding of their children.
