Iran
TEHRAN (FNA)- The National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) and Russias gas giant Gazprom are to establish a joint working group for broadening cooperation, a deputy oil minister said.
Hamid Reza Araqi, who is also head of the NIGC, said the two sides are to cooperate on the supply of equipment, transfer of technology and financing oil and gas projects, the oil ministry's website reported.

He said the NIGC and Gazprom agreed to broaden their ties throughout meetings held on the sidelines of the World Petroleum Congress recently held in Moscow.

Araqi said the NIGC and Gazprom discussed ways of entering international markets.

He said that the NIGC and Gazprom are both members of Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) and the International Gas Union (IGU).

Araqi said Iran and Russia, both containing huge gas reserves, share interests in global markets.
