TEHRAN, June 24 (MNA) Irans oil minister has said new gas and oil fields are probable to be found in north and northeast of the country.Bijan Namdar Zanganeh pointed to the recent discoveries of oil and gas in the country and added that in several provinces such as Goelstan, Razavi Khorasan, North Khorasan, and also border regions of Qasr-e-Shirin, we predict to discover new oil and gas reserves which will be formally announced in the future.
Oil and gas discoveries have been on rise during few recent years, said he and added that last year 178 oil fields and 70 gas fields were discovered and formally announced," said he.
Many of such fields are located in Zagros massifs and some others are located in Persian Gulf; two fields are in central Iran.
