Hossein Naqavi Hosseini, the spokesman for the Majlis (parliament) Committee on National Security and Foreign Policy[/caption]TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran dismissed Sanaa's claim that it is interfering in Yemen's internal affairs as baseless and an attempt to cover Sanaa's inability to protect the security of Iranian diplomats.
"The Islamic Republic of Iran's strategic policy is non-interference in other countries' internal affairs and it never accepts such accusations," Rapporteur of the parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Naqavi Hosseini said.
"The Yemeni officials' remarks on Iran's meddling in that country's internal affairs are sheer lies and an escape forward to cover Sanaa's inability to provide security for Iranian diplomats," he added.
Naqavi Hosseini underlined that such allegations are raised against Iran while the western states should be blamed for direct meddling in other countries' internal affairs and supporting terrorist groups, specially in Yemen.
Iran's reaction came after Yemeni President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi warned of foreign meddling in his country.
Also, Ahmad Awaz Bin Mubarak, the Yemeni president's representative claimed that Sanaa has informed Iranian deputy foreign minister of its concerns in this regard.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his Yemeni counterpart Abu Baker Abdullah al-Qirbi in a recent meeting in Algiers discussed the latest developments in the region, and emphasized the need for reciprocal efforts to pave the ground for the further expansion of their all-out ties.
In a meeting on the sidelines of the 17th Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Foreign Ministers Conference late May, the two top diplomats voiced their countries willingness to broaden cooperation in all sectors, and also underlined their resolve to pursue fate of Iran's abducted embassy staff in Yemen Nour-Ahmad Nikbakht.
Tehran is also ready for expansion of bilateral relation in various regional and international scenes, Zarif said in the meeting.
Al-Qirbi, for his part, underlined the outcomes of a recent visit by Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian to the Yemeni capital and the establishment of a special joint committee to pursue the fate of the abducted Iranian diplomat.
He meanwhile reiterated his countrys willingness to expand bilateral relations with Tehran.
