TEHRAN (FNA)- Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad Al-Sabah's next week visit to Iran would serve as a move for strengthening security, stability and peace in the Persian Gulf, the Kuwaiti cabinet said in a statement.
Sheikh Sabah, on his first visit to Tehran as head of state, will lead a high level delegation consisting of the ministers of foreign affairs, oil, finance and commerce and industry, the statement added, AFP reported.
Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad, who came to power on January 29, 2006, was officially invited by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.
Iran and Kuwait have sought to expand bilateral ties through exchanging several high-ranking delegations in the last few years.
