Iranians getting shorter due to poor dairy diet
Tehran, May 20, IRNA A prominent Iranian physician said Iranians keep growing shorter due to insufficient daily diet of dairy products.
Iraj Khosrownia who chairs the association of the internal medicine specialists said that the phenomenon is discernable even in rural areas.
He noted that people in Korea and Japan are growing taller thanks to their dairy-rich menus.

He believed the Iranian research centers ought to focus on finding the cause of metabolic diseases.

He further advised the government to keep paying subsides for dairies and go on with the program to distribute free milk for school children.
