Interior Minister terms Iran "Stable, Secure" country

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli described Iran as one of the most stable and secure world countries despite being located in a volatile region.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran is a stable, tranquil and secure country, and this has been the result of the efforts of the security forces," Rahmani Fazli said, addressing a gathering of police commanders in North Khorassan province on Monday.

He said this stability and security was established despite the fact that Iran is located in the volatile Middle-East region.

In relevant remarks in October, Iranian Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari termed Iran the most secure country in the region, and voiced the Iranian military forces' full preparedness to defend the county's territorial waters against any possible aggression by the enemies.

The Iranian navy commander stressed that Iran is the most secure country in the region, stressing that Iranian naval forces will respond to any act of aggression against its territorial waters.

This strategic force enjoys high capabilities and will give a response to any country launching aggression against Irans waters, Sayyari said speaking about the power and might of Iran's naval forces.

As a strategic force, the Islamic Republic of Irans Navy maintains its presence beyond our sea borders, the Iranian commander said, adding that Iranian warships were then patrolling the Red Sea and the Bab el-Mandeb strait.
