TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian researchers have designed and built under-water a digital telecommunications system to facilitate information exchange between subsurface and surface units in a safe and digital manner.
The system designed by researchers at Malek Ashtar University can be installed in all surface and subsurface crafts, in low and high altitudes.
The system dubbed Iranox is capable of encoding information. It can be adjusted in surface and subsurface crafts for transfer of commands and remote-controlling.
Channel coding and equalizer methods have been applied in the system. The home-made system can be changed by view of the final user.
The system's range hits over 2000 meters and its frequency reaches 5-20 kilohertz. The data rate is about 1.5 kilobytes per second.
