Tehran, March 7, IRNA � Tehran interim Friday prayer leader Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Movahhedi-Kermani called on the Iranian nuclear negotiating team to keep vigilance against enemies in order to make proper decisions during the talks.


 
Addressing a large number of worshippers, the ayatollah urged Iran?s negotiating team to try ?not to be deceived by enemy and the US and to recognize their hostility against Iranians in order to make correct decisions during the nuclear talks.?


Referring to the US? spying on its allies and friends, the ayatollah said, ?The US can never be trustworthy as it even spies on its friends.?

He urged the Iranian negotiating team ?to be caucious about the US and the enemy because US is the Great Satan.? A term originally used in 1979 by Father of the Islamic Revolution the late Imam Khomeini to refer to the United States for its hegemonic policies worldwide.

Ayatoolah Movahhedi-Kermani added enemies of the country thought they could paralyze the Iranian government through mounting sanctions but they failed due to the resistance of the Iranian nation.

The senior cleric stressed that the Iranian nation would overcome all possible problems relying on its Resistance Economy and making advantage of its local talents.

The �Resistance Economy� is a concept declared originally by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in his August 2012 speech to promote economic self-reliance, a strategy that would defeat the US-led efforts against Iran via economic and trade sanctions.

On february 19, 2014, the Supreme Leader outlined overall policies of the Resistance Economy to be implemented nationwide.

Blasting US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Wendy Sherman for her statements that members of 5+1 Group are wielding veto power in all stages of nuclear deals, Ayatollah Movahhedi-Kermani said while the two parties are engaged in nuclear talks it is not acceptable to make those statements.

He referred to the US recent measures which created insecurity in the Middle East region and said the crimes have augmented global hatred towards the US.

Touching upon the issue of US officials ?military options on the table,? the senior cleric said taking such positions ?reveal their weakness. They resort to threats when they have no logical words to say during the negotiations.?

In order to defeat the enemy, said the ayatollah, ?Iran has many options including the faith of its nation, the spirit of resistance, the guidelines of the Supreme Leader and the human resources. Each of these options are even more powerful than any atomic bomb.?

The Iranian nation will neutralize the enemies? plots through piety, stressed the senior cleric.
