Tehran, March 7, IRNA � Deputy Foreign Minister for Euro-American Affairs Majid Takht-e Ravanchi said Friday that the European Union Foreign Policy Chief Catherine Ashton who is to arrive here on March 8 will discuss bilateral ties between Iran and the Europe during her stay in Iran.


 
Speaking to IRNA, Takht-e Ravanchi, also a senior member of Iran?s nuclear negotiating team, said, ?Bilateral relations between Tehran and the EU would be the main topic of Ashton?s talks with the Iranian authorities.?


However, he added, as Ashton represents the Group 5+1 in nuclear talks with Iran, her talks with the Iranian authorities would also include the nuclear issue.

The diplomat added Ashton would have a working lunch with Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Sunday and would later confer with President Hassan Rouhani as well as Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani.

At the end of her talks in Tehran, she will leave the Iranian capital for the ancient city of Isfahan in central Iran where she is to visit the historical monuments of the picturesque city.

Takht-e-Ravanchi said Ashton?s visit to Isfahan will take place on Monday (March 10).
