TEHRAN (FNA)- The Islamic Republic of Iran welcomes foreign investment offers in its gas sector, Deputy Oil Minister for Gas Affairs Hamid Reza Araqisaid.
Addressing a conference held to discuss revision of Iran's oil contracts with foreign firms, the deputy minister named establishment of a new gas pipeline in South Pars Gas Field as one of the major challenges of Iran's gas industry in southern parts of the country, voicing the Islamic Republic's will to welcome foreign investment offers in the region.
He said the development of the new phases of the South Pars project is going on unbalanced requiring Iran to call for new investments in the field.
The CEO of the National Iranian Gas Company further maintained that the investments can be made in gas refining, pipelines and Pressure Relief Valve.
