TEHRAN (Tasnim) Iran mens team has been drawn in Pool A of the 2014 IBSA Goalball World Championships.The Iranian team has been pitted against host Finland, Algeria, Spain, Germany, Czech Republic, Ukraine and the US in Pool A.
Pool B consists of Belgium, Brazil, Egypt, Japan, Canada, China, Lithuania and Turkey.
A total of 16 mens and 12 womens teams will participate at the World Championships which will be held from June 26th to July 6th in Finland.
Womens competition consist 12 teams. Host Finland will face Japan, Russia, the US, Turkey and Germany in pool X.
Pool Y consists of Iran, Brazil, Israel, China, Sweden, and Ukraine.
Lithuania mens team won the previous edition in Sheffield, England in 2010, followed by China and Iran.
China was crowned as womens champion before the US and Sweden.
