Iran, Britain agree to restore direct relations

London, Feb 20, IRNA Following an agreement between Iran and Britain, the two sides will end situation of having interest office sections in a third country and follow ties directly and through non-resident charges d?affaires.

Informed sources in London told IRNA that the two countries have decided to end having relations through a third country.


Following closure of the two countries embassies, Oman?s Embassy in London and Sweden?s Embassy in Tehran were interest office sections of the two countries.

In the past three months, Iran and Britain have held several rounds of talks in different levels to agree on recovering bilateral ties step by step.
