Better relations between Muslim states help regional tranquility

Tehran, Feb 8, IRNA Majlis (parliament) speaker, who is in Tunisia to attend ceremony for approval of the new Constitution, met with Morocco Crown Prince and Foreign Minister, Tunisia parliament deputy speaker and Libyan parliament speaker.
According to the report of Majlis website on Friday, Ali Larijani on Friday afternoon met with Moroccan Foreign Minister Saad-Eddin El-Othmani.

In the meeting, Larijani expressed pleased that mutual relations between Iran and Morocco has been re-established.

He said that the two countries have important effect on the region, adding that ties between Iran and Morocco should improve, because relations between Muslim countries can help regional tranquility.

El-Othmani, for his part, expressed pleasure with improved ties between the two countries and said that events between the two states were a misunderstanding, which was fortunately removed.

He continued that improved ties would be beneficial for both countries, adding considering Irans important role in the region, improving mutual ties would be appropriate.

Larijani also conferred with Moroccan Crown Prince Moulay Hassan, on the sidelines of the ceremony for approval of the Tunisia new Constitution.

In the meeting Moulay Hassan said that he was conveying message of Moroccan King, adding that in mutual relations, there should not be any problems.

He said Morocco is ready for more cooperation between the two countries and we hope to be witness to future effects of the cooperation.

Larijani also met with Libyan parliament speaker on the sidelines of the ceremony.

The Libyan MP told Larijani that his remarks in the ceremony was the same as Libya?s, adding that Libya is facing with problems now, which enemies of revolution have created, but the situation is being controlled.

He added that we hope Libyan Constitution could be compiled as soon as possible. He said Libya will certainly attend the inter-parliamentary meeting of OIC member states , which will be held in Iran.

Larijani for his part, said Iran is pleased that the Libyan revolution has reached its turning point, adding that Tehran is with Libya and hopes that Libyan problems can be solved soon.

Majlis Speaker also met with Tunisia parliament deputy speaker.
