Tehran, Feb 2, IRNA – Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh says no country is entitled to enter Iran’s oil zone in the Caspian Sea and if so the country would defend its rights.
He told MPs that Iran reserves its rights to the Caspian Sea oil and this has been given the priority in Iran’s economy. “Iran will expedite exploratory operations in its zone in the Caspian Sea when it deems it justifiable both economically and technologically.”
He reiterated that no country is entitled to drill in the Iranian zone of the Caspian Sea and there is interaction among littoral states in this regard. He said and any party should drill in its own zone and no body shoud protest Iran’s right.
