Rouhani: Davos, a chance for Iran to define views to world

Tehran, Jan 22, IRNA – President Hassan Rouhani said Davos provided a chance for Iran to define its views to the world.

The president made the remarks here Wednesday while talking to IRNA at the airport before leaving Tehran for Switzerland to take part in the 44th Davos economic summit.

He said the meeting is an effective way for Iran to outline its economic views and offer ideas on international and regional developments.

The Iranian President said the event is very important since it hosts politicians, experts, university scholars, managers of worldˈs major economic firms and officials from different countries.

He noted that the world today is in need of both theories and practice in politics.

President Rouhani said that he is going to deliver a speech in Davos and then address a gathering of owners of world-scale businesses as well as the companies active in oil and gas.

According to the President, he is also to hold meetings with the media people and confer with a number of political and economic figures.

President Rouhani left Tehran for Davos, a Swiss resort, this morning to take part in the World Economic Forum, slated for January 22-25. He is attending the event as a special guest.
