Syrian official lauds Iran efforts to consolidate Muslims unity

Tehran, Jan 20, IRNA An advisor to Syrian Minister of Endowment Nabil Suleiman here on Sunday evening praised Iran?s due attention to consolidation of unity among Muslim nations.
Suleiman made the remarks on the sideline of the 27th International Islamic Unity Conference that wrapped up in Tehran on Sunday night.

The Islamic Republic of Iran is the supporter of Muslims and the depressed people across the globe, he noted.

Pointing to the crisis in Syria as a plot hatched by arrogant powers in the region, Suleiman underlined that the enemies are trying to sow discord among Muslims to hit the axis of resistance.

The 27th International Islamic Unity Conference was wrapped up last night by issuing a statement.

The conference was opened with a speech of the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.

The participants in the event held 20 working sessions in a period of three days.
