Baghdad, Jan 14, IRNA � Visiting Foreign Minister of Iran Mohammad Javad Zarif on Tuesday submitted an official invitation from Iran?s parliament Speaker Ali Larijani to his Iraqi counterpart Osama Al-Nujaifi to pay a visit to Iran.�

Zarif arrived in Baghdad Tuesday morning from Beirut, Lebanon, on the second leg of his regional tour.


Sending the invitation, Larijani asked Al-Nujaifi to attend the Islamic inter-parliamentary meetings to be held in the Iranian capital.

More in the meeting, Zarif hailed Al-Nujaifi?s cordial relations with Tehran.

While in Baghdad, Zarif is to discuss major bilateral, regional and international developments with senior Iraqi officials.
