ILNA: Vice-Chairman of the Christian Parties Fraction in German Bundestag (Parliament) Andreas Schokenhoff underlined that political solution is the only way for putting an end to the Syrian crisis and supported Irans participation in the Geneva II conference, IRNA reported.Schokenhoff made the remarks in a meeting with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Europe and America Affairs Majid Takht Ravanchi.
The German lawmaker pointed to Irans active and influential role in the region, and declared Germanys willingness for regional cooperation with Iran.
Takht Ravanchi, for his part, pointed to the challenges emanating from extremism in the region and international community, and underlined cooperation of all countries for serious combat with that.
