TEHRAN, Jan. 4 (MNA) The veteran Iranian sound recordist Jahangir Mirshekari will receive a Golden Simorgh for his lifetime achievements at the 32nd Fajr International Film Festival, which will be held in Tehran in February 2014.
Mirshekari, 67, began his career in cinema with Bahram Beizaiis acclaimed movie Bashu, the Little Stranger in 1986.
His collaborations in Abbas Kiarostamis Where Is My Friends Home?, Darius Mehrjuis The Tenants and Ahmadreza Darvishs Land of the Sun brought him several prizes at previous editions of the Fajr festival.
His credits also include Mamas Guest directed by Mehrjuii, Absolutely Tame is a Horse and Nothing by Abdorreza Kahani.
