TEHRAN (FNA)- President of the Organization International des Constructeurs d'Automobiles Patric Blainmet with Headof Iran's leading carmaker, the Iran-Khodro Company (IKCO).

"Iran has a great potential in car production and Iran Khodro can initiate proper cooperation with famous carmakers," said the president of the Organization International des Constructeurs d'Automobiles during a meeting with the IKCO CEO.

Referring to the production target of 3 million cars in Iran, Patrick Blain claimed that this could also bring about more job vacancies in the country.

"Iran is able to rank in the top ten countries in producing cars in the years to come," hoped the president of OICA.

The IKCO CEO Yeke Zare, for his part, asserted that his company would continue cooperation with its partners, and would seek new ones as well.

"We dont expect to reach our export goals in a short time," Yeke Zare said, and added, "We feel responsible for supplying our foreign customers' needs and we will take into account the rules of our target countries."

Referring to IKCO's plan for product quality improvement and meeting global standards, Yeke Zare noted, "Iranian car making companies enjoy state of the art technology, however a successful presence in the world markets calls for precise and proper planning."
