TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh underscored the necessity of using domestically manufactured equipment in the oil industry.


Addressing the Iranian Parliament's Energy Commission, the minister said his Ministry deeply believes in domestic manufacturing.

�I have put support for domestic manufacturing on agenda. Therefore, project management is needed in this field,� he said.

�Domestic industries are required to do more to strengthen their structures in some sectors,� the minister added.

Zanganeh said Iranian companies are currently working in the South Pars gas field.

He warned of taking action against Iranian officials who refuse to use commodities manufactured in the country.

The minister said Petroleum Ministry also attaches great significance to creation of jobs for youth.

Zanganeh said Iranian manufacturers must focus on down-hole and wellhead equipment.
