Tehran, Dec 10, IRNA Minister of Defense Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan said here Tuesday that today is time for the western states to prove that they are trustworthy.Addressing a local ceremony, Dehqan said what Iran is pursuing during its talks with the group of sextet is to prove that the hegemonic powers are trying to win a global consensus against Tehrans peaceful nuclear program.
The hegemonic powers and the West are trying to convince the world that the Islamic Iran is seeking nuclear weapon, said the minister adding the Iranian nation has to foil their anti-Iran plots.
Iran, based on the guidelines of the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has assured all world countries that its nuclear activities are for peaceful purposes.
According to reports released by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), there is no evidence of any deviation in Irans peaceful nuclear activities from international regulations, said the minister.
