Iran, Iraq news agencies sign MoU on news exchange

Tehran, Dec 4, IRNA Managing Director of the Islamic Republic News Agency Mohammad Khoddadi and Managing-director of the national Iraqi news agency Shafeek al-Obeidi on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on news cooperation.
The MoU calls for exchange of news, photos, films as well as exchange of expert delegations between the two sides.


Opening of IRNA bureau in Baghdad and opening of NINA in Tehran as well as setting up professional education and workshops for media persons are the topic of the agreement.

They studied grounds for expansion of all out relations and cooperation.

The Iraqi media delegation has visited Iran upon official invitation extended to him by IRNA chief.

Iraq National News Agency won support of IRNA and was admitted to membership of Asia-Pacific News Pools (OANA).
