43 countries invited to Int’l Iranian Documents Seminar

Tehran, Dec 4, IRNA – Some 43 countries from around the world have so far been invited to the International Iranian Documents Seminar slated for December 16.
Enayat Salariyan, an official with National Library and Documentation Organization told IRNA Wednesday that heads of national archives, cultural attaches and ambassadors of 38 East and West Asia as well as attaches from Arab, African and European states have been invited to the upcoming event.

Promoting researches on documentation, presenting latest information, documentology and offering Iran’s latest achievements in the field are among the objectives of the seminar, he said.

Salariyan further noted that of 38 articles submitted to the event, 10 to 12 articles will be presented during day-long gathering.

Heads of Turkish, Omani, Indian and probably Australian national archives are among the lecturers during the event, he said.

The official also said that holding a joint photo exhibition with several Latin American states is also on the agenda.

Half of the invitees have so far announced their readiness to attend the seminar, he said.
