Tehran, Nov 27, IRNA � Chairman of the Expediency Council Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani said on Wednesday that the Zionist regime has turned into a multi-purpose base for colonial powers in the most sensitive region of the world.
According to the public relations department of the Expediency Council, he made the remarks in a meeting with participants of a scientific and research gathering to mark solidarity with the Palestinian people.


He invited all groups to avoid extremism in defending the aspirations of Palestine and said this requires political vigilance.

It is illogical to defend the legitimate rights of the Palestinian nation by justifying the tyranny of a dictator like Hitler, he said.

Western colonial powers masterminded such a sedition by establishing the fabricated Zionist regime in a bid to create problems for Muslims, he said.

Muslims have no enmity with other religions but it is the Zionists that are engaged in committing tyranny against the Palestinian people, Rafsanjani said.

The Zionist regime?s propaganda machine has been making hue and cry, since the triumph of the Islamic Revolution in Iran in order for the Arabs to forget their number one enemy, he said.

The Palestinian people are the most oppressed nation on the earth, he said.
